i agree on that and the 1 defiant was in the borg attack i know i heard it in a episode before the first defiant got destroyed in the dominion war trust me im a admiral now no more discution no cloack for the defiant end off

I think when people start asking these questions that keep coming back, the last one sould be make into a sticky, i think this is such a thread.

oh, btw i'm agains't feds with cloaks, that's just plain dead in the ground wrong.
but a galaxy X class would be nice. *sigh* but "outlook not good" to quote my magic 8 ball.

the more stickys there are, the less they will be read.

i am sure galaxy x was also requested in a thread
and in general, it's not always bad that questions are asked a second time. something these questions lead to interesting ideas or more questions appear why this question has to be asked at all...

i suppose so, but you said this was brought up like 4 time? does that include this thread? just wondering, and i'm too lazy to try to look it up because it's only margionally interesting to me, but worth asking.

will quantum torpedoes be added to the non special weapons in the defaint (but still keeping the crit shot), or is it just going to stay critical shot with no nromal quantum torpedoes?

the defiant class in FO rules as it sits it should be left alone.

perhaps a texture update but other than that its fine.

actually, i think i'll amend my position about feds not using cloaking tech.
one of my old trek manuals mentioned something about a treaty between the federation the klingon and romulan empires. it stated that as long as the federation didn't research cloaking technology the klingons and romulans wouldn't develop ships with the ability to fire while cloaked. now the klingons blatantly violated this in the undiscovered country, and the romulans have done so too at this point. so the treaty is null and void. if i am wrong feel free to correct me, because i lost this manual a long time ago. and if so, i will take my former stance.

good question, i wouldn't mind normal quantum torpedos and maybe the super weapon of the saber - hyper impulse? , (i'll stick summt in the feature request topic about this lol)

did the defiant have quantum torps in first contact tho?

It should have, pulse fire torpedo tubes. Anyways cloak for the Federation just doesn't make sense. Why use it even if the treaty was void? Only time they used it was scouting in DS9, not usually ambushing.

they didn't always get the chance to use it for ambush tactics in DS9 though, i assumed starfleet would have done research on the cloak and got somewhere after so long since they 1st encountered it
