Every time I see it, I can't help but remember the Defiant decloaking in front of DS9. Let the new mod be true the ship we all know.

Welcome to the forums, but sorry, only one Defiant class vessel got the cloak, and it was destroyed, therefore no cloak for feddies. Yep this must be the 4th one of these.

I know it got destroyed, but I love it so much. Also, I seem to remember it adrift but salvagable in First Contact. I do not know whether or not this second one had a cloak, but I do so love the idea of a fed. cloak.

the defiant class itself won't receive cloak in fleet operations

You have to consider balancing and even if you love the cloak on the Defiant (which I personaly don't) doesn't mean it should be on every Defiant, I don't even think it should be on the hero ship. This has already been argued in the forum, as shown on the topic DOC provided.

Also the ORIGINAL Defiant was destroyed, the second one was in First Contact.

Having the Defiant Class with a cloak is not a good idea. The original Defiant only had the cloak so that it can penetrate Dominion space. That has no purpose in Fleet Operations.

Yep, i think so to. A cloakable Defiant would be a nice hero unit, but cause it is already destroyed.. will i think i will add one for the map makers to use on their maps for a later version but a cloakable Defiant won't be in as buildable or normal campaign hero. Sorry. ^_^

Original Defiant destroyed in a DS9 battle, second Defiant (Sao Paulo) was the one at First Contact. I didn't need to correct your spelling because the whole sentance was wrong :D

hehe, hereyou go
The Dominion War was a two-year (late 2373-late 2375) interstellar conflict between the Dominion and the Federation Alliance that consumed the entire Alpha Quadrant in one of the most destructive wars in galactic history.

thanx for that :) . so it was just an inconsistancy with what PD said:

Worf was in the captain's chair too when the Defiant got the chance to take on its intended adversary during the Borg incursion of 2373, proving its rapid fire guns and low-profile silhouette were as effective as planned. Though severely damaged and actually abandoned during the Typhon Sector battle, the ship survived the conflict after its captain and remaining crew were picked up by the U.S.S. Enterprise-E; it returned to service at DS9 in record time.

it was the first defiant at the typhon sector :P . did think it strange that Sisko wasn't in command of it though.

The Defiant in First Contact WAS the original one and not the Sao Paulo. It was in the Dominion Wars (years later) that it was destroyed by the Breen.
