Okay, I will start this off with some "objections" regarding non-canon ships on Fleet Ops. I don't mind non-canon ships appearing more on Fleet Ops, but I think it should only be used when there are no type of ships that exist in the Star Trek universe.

Let's say that you want a Battleship for the Federation. Easy! you pick the Sovereign. Instead, you make a whole new model. It really doesn't make sense.

I think the same thing applies to the Canaveral Class ship. Judging from the special weapons capabilities (Probe), I believe it is a science ship. But doesn't Starfleet already have science ships?

Nova classes will be better suited for the job, and I think the Canaveral Class is quite a bad idea when there is a much more known, class of ship, which actually appeared in Star Trek and has reasonable amount of information, sufficient to make a model, and its capabilites. (Stronger than Saber, weaker than Intrepid. )

I really don't expect you do change this, (In fact non of the post on Feature Requests doesn't seem to get approved unless the development people are already aware of it) but just tell me what you think

the canaveral will be replaced by a new - but still non cannon - design. we 'saved' us some offical designes for avatar vessels. for example mayson will give you the norway.

the only race where you could find enough offical vessels is the federation. and i think we already used nearly every ship from this era, which appeared in the show:

Saber - official
Monsoon - non cannon
Intrepid - official
Akira - official
Canaveral - non cannon
Remore - non cannon
Defiant - official
Sovereign - official
ExcelsiorB - non cannon
Steamrunner - official
Nebula - official
Galaxy - official
Descent - non cannon

Note on the Descent class, the final ep of Voyager, Endgame, had a "strange four warp engin intrepid" flying along with her as she took her final approach on earth.
Over on the far right hand. i know its not big enough to be a descent though.

@cts006
Well it's actually the Excelsior-B Class made by Tachy from scifi-art. the one u mean is an Excelsior refit used as the Enterprise NCC 1701-B.
Just saw we have a typo there in beta 2 - it's not Excelsior-II but Excelsior-B

Oh, it is a Promethues. It show si in Endgame a couple of times. Noy big enough or circular (saucer) enough to be a Descent

It would make sence for it to be a prometheus.

Canon ships missing:

Norway (comes with avatars in Beta 3)

Nova-class (from Voy: Equinox) - would be nice

Runabouts (from DS9 and TNG) - would be too small, smaller than the already exsisting scouts (1m shorter actually, ;) 23m vs. 24m)

(The Sovereigns Captain's Yacht is another nice idea, it's actually 33.5m and could be launchable like the probe?)

Yeager class (from DS9) http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/schemati...ips2.htm#yeager - ugly kitbash, could be used to explain the Monsoon class

And I would really appreciate an original Excelsior, either as a warp in vessel or as something buildable by some old yards only placable as map objects. :D

It has always been the most common ship in the federation.

Another thing to think about Steamrunner as buildable ship class with less power (just like the Klingon and Romulan equivalents).

Steamrunner class is new, why not buildable? Just an idea. ;)

What? Original Excelsior NCC-2000 model is on the FO list!!! AWESOME!!!!!
The Excelsior class is my best ship!!

Yep ;-) perhaps it will be buildable from the mckinley yard - a non buildable yard which already is in fleet operations - or you will be able to find it damaged and empty in some scrapyards :)
but i don't think starfleet will build new excelsior class vessels, cause they are very old and therefore they won't be a buildable ship.

The Nova will be part of an admiral released in beta4. The 4 units for the beta3 admirals are:

Admiral Mayson:
Norway Class - cannon - Support Vessel
Torpedo Platform - uncannon - Defence against large units

Admiral Risner:
Phalanx Class - uncannon - Heavy Battleship
Avalon Class - uncannon - Warpin Fighter Carrier

Fighter carriers would be really great Optec! Thanks for taking the suggestion I made earlier.
All "major" Alpha Quadrant races have carriers and it would be a "canon" idea.
The Roms, klings, hydrans, definately have carriers in the inventory but the Ferengi do not. They rely mostly on the Dkora for there muscle but its becoming an older design comparable with the Galaxy class. ( getting off topic ).

I would like to see Major Paynes Draven class or a close copy as the warpin fighter carrier.
He also made an excellant kitbash of a Soveriegn and a Nebula called the Sovula class which both of them are in Shockwave btw.

I used the drone weapon in Shockwave as fighters.I would use a different system now as in making ships build the fighters and launch from bay doors on the carrier.Getting the animation to work would be tricky I admit it.
Give each fighter very high manuevar ability.

The Excellsiors were wiped out by the dominion werent they?
