Oops
I sort of understood what point you were trying to make Rhaz, but I just thought I might try and clarify ... sorry if I took away your headwind.

A suggestion; why not make the Eximus the new premonition? Who says the premonition had to be a premonition class ship?
The Eximus would make a nice 'first Federation timeship' class

Yep, why not?
What about the Achilles by the way? Somehow I like her better and her design fits into the FO-design line (Avalon eg.).

Was the Achilles canon? Or is it just that ship from the Dominion Wars game. That ship is cool and would make a sweet avatar ship, I think anyways. But I think it should be at the same defensive and offensive level as the Akira, but with a special ability, so it could fill a similar niche to the dominion siege ship.

As far as I remember from the information I read about the Achilles it was built as a support vessel to the Sovie and a little weaker than her.
The Achilles isn't canon. As you said, Rhaz, she's from the Dominion Wars game.

giving the feds a time ship will overpower them, simple as. If ever a time controlling device does enter the FO mod it should be a station with a limited range (not like the stock 1 whose range spanned an entire map).Silver Gryphon wrote:A suggestion; why not make the Eximus the new premonition? Personally I think that using time travel in the game would cause some screw-ups. Sure a ship from the future may be fine (imagine what the Collective could do with that....
), but a temporal station would be a bit problematic canon-wise. Just thinking about it however.... perhaps a ship that slowed down time around it in battle as a consequence of using special energy might be useful. Maybe with a build limit or credit cost thingy?? Anyway, I don't really know how time related stuff could be implemented without causing serious harm to the other races princeps (wouldn't they have it too: afterall, even though we've witnessed captain kirk travel back in time using a captured bird of prey, we've also seen the borg and picard's sovereign do it as well...). In the end, I would prefer to leave it out.

Yes. And in the Dominion Wars game, the Achilles was inferior in Firepower to the Galaxy Class (Type - 5 ship in that game) and was on par with the Vorcha. This would put it around the Akira in firepower. I would argue the Akira and Nebula class are about even in firepower, because I personally don't believe all the torpedo launchers we've never seen used, especially with the Nebula's tactical pod evening the balance.

Well then. I didn't know that because I never played Dominion Wars.
So which role could the Achilles play then?
Maybe - as Mayson has the Norway - she could be an additional unit to Risners fleet? Or an additional unit to Mayson as Risner already has two new ship-classes.
Uhm... yeah.
But in the first instance: Will we get the Achilles into FO if we'd like to?

Wouldn't this lead to the demand of more ship-classes for the other races?

I was just suggesting a model replacement for the map object premonition class, it looks out of date next to the higer res FO models

No no no no no.
The Achilles is on a much higher level than the Akira, and is by no means an artillery ship. It is best classified as a [i]battlecruiser, essentially a faster and slightly less powerful battleship. It is designed to move in fast, get up close, knock 'em upside the head, and skidoodle. It is also more than capable as functioning as a standard ship-of-the-line.
Out of all non- and semi-canon ships, the Achilles is the one I would most like to see in Fleet Operations. Heck, I would much rather have the Achilles than the Prometheus.
