Breen ships too slow but in DS9 very fast

Why I believe that is big mistake to let breen units be slowest in their class.

theres also one scene where Breen Cruiser is chased be Defiant and Def have hard time following it + breen avatar improve all units speed with its advanced engines upgrade yet these two spaceship is super slow! this video also shows that Breen Battleship is alot faster than Deridex.I strongly suggest that this would be fixed as possible.No need to make it rocket fast,10% speed boost for Cruiser and 20% for  Battleship f would be good from FO gameplay balance point of view and enough realistic from Star Trek nerd point of view,hey you mr developer,yagetmy?  :D

I personally feel the Breen Battleship model in FO should be used for the Breen Cruiser, and the A1 Breen Warship design should be used for the Breen Battleship.

I don't think that tiny little vessel is a Breen Battleship.

Also, if the Breen ship is attacking from the starboard aft (you have to go back a little to about 4:28), then it is on an intercept vector relative to the Defiant.  Of course it's going to close distance on her.

There's nothing wrong with asking for change to the ship, as I believe it will undergo change.  But arguing from one video shot (especially from inconsistent Trek), is probably not the best way.

while I agree that inconsistent Star Trek isnt enough proof to make it rocket but making super slow based on absolutely nothing is less "right".Like I said,it dont need to be rocket,but not giving 15%-20% boost in speed its sin aggaist Star Trek and if this wonderfull series of movies and serials didnt existed,this game would never exist at the first place.I believe the ships should be more or less like we saw it in TV... not exact copies,but similiar in alot way.

Which still doesn't address the fact that the ship you describe is not a Breen battleship.  It looks more like a small destroyer, a cruiser (like the breen cruiser in game) at best.

Keep in mind that a breen cruiser with both speed upgrades has a speed of 110, which is very good for long range vessels.  For reasons that have to do with game balancing, ship ranges often correlate to their differences in speed.

You could suggest shortening the weapon range, which would end up increasing the speed of the ship.  Again, I'm not against changes to the breen ships, but pointing out that one shot doesn't prove "it must be thus" because there are other factors that I pointed out (and even more that I haven't mentioned ) that don't make this particular clip a strong argument for increasing breen ship speed.

Also, this will probably get moved, since it's not a feature request, but more of a balancing thread.  Just remember:  Shorter range = faster speed.  Lobby for that and you might get it.

I saw that scene like 10 times and that is definately breen battleship.Also notice that I want only very small speed boost for cruiser,thats secondary thing.Breen Battleship on other hand should be made alot faster,make it cost whatever just make it proper breen killa

You are right! Plus yo usited one of my favorite videos. Have you tried editing the ODF file for speed? Like Combat Speed, Impulse Speed and all that?

its good feeling that someone actually agree with me  ,that last episode was definately best in DS9

writing things in caps and different colours wont make people take you any more seriously.

your post sounded like one big demand from the devs, like "do what i say"

i dont like demands, and i doubt the devs do either, if u want your ideas to be listened to i suggest you use more tact, and actually request a change, and accept the possibility that what u want might not happen.

i happen to disagree with your suggestion of just making it faster.

whether reudcing its range to short and making it fast is another question, that would change the nature of the ship completely, so most people would be unsure about it.

the dominion dont have a short range combat ship in lower yard, so i think it's worth a try to make the breen cruiser be short ranged. it would then be even better at hunting big ships, it would be a ship designed for killing battleships and running rings around them.

Maybe the Breen Cruiser could become short ranged with 120 speed (so faster than the Defiant with engine upgrades)? This idea already been brought up in Breen Cruiser Ideas thread, tho without the specific "faster than Defiant."
