Borg Shielding

They said something about a subspace shield.

i think they have shields as stated above, but they only use it if they think it is necessary. i further assume that they only activate parts of there shield patterns during battle, like only a few sections where weapon hits may cause much damage.
i think in tng someone said something (i assume data was it) that a 78% (don't know the exact number) damaged cube would be fully operational. so i think they don't think protecting their vessel as whole but only important parts like subspace communication, slipstream drive etc.

it was in TNG, a female....however I dont know exactly who it was either,

anyway that makes a bit more sence tho
