Borg mixed-tech(For the other races) cosmetic change

Ah, but the Delta Flyer...  Seven (sexiest person evar, btw) incorporated some Borg things into the design, and you can visibly see something Borg on the hull - the black conduit things on the top and back.

So while big Borgy blocks are out of the question, I could see Borg looking modules attached to it, or a visible Graviton Torpedo launcher on the outside.

I think the bottom line is this... The Federation would be happy to incorporate more advanced technology into their OWN designs. Internally not just slapped on the outside of a ship. Thats why the Excalibur uses transwarp but it still looks very much Fed, except for the green nacelles but that is still internally incorporated the technology not just retrofitted externally. Thats why I think the Miranda II is excellent, it still looks like what you would expect a federation ship to look like design wise with the addition of some Jem'Hadar traits like more advanced weapons and armor.
