Could Borg mixed-tech ships from the shipyard have the borg textures on them? I think it would be cool to actually seem the borg tech on the hull of the ship like the end of "Scorpion" in VOY. Obviously it can only be applied to ships with assimilated textures but I think it would be cool.

Anyone agree with me?

Has this even been fully implemented yet? Because I know the devs were talking about redoing the Textures for assimilated ships but I havent seen anything on that in a while. But in either event I like your idea, that would be very cool.

I agree, the Tech, should be visibly mixed.  :assimilate:

Well, we know that the Devs are going to be doing this sort of thing. We just don't know when it is going to be completed. As next patch is a balancing patch, and the one after that is feature... I'm guessing 3.09 will be show and tell  ^-^

nice idea but why not just be borg o.o lol na joke yeah sounds likea  good idea tho could get confusing when being borg seeing borg ships flying around that arnt yours, AND wouldnt borg have control of there techology, ALSO lol voyager implamented alot of borg tech to the end yet nothing was visable what says the masses on that

Last time this was brought up, I remember mentioning that the Borg tech screwed with Voyager's systems.

borgtech means nanites which means borg = resistance is futile  :borg:

borg don't use nanites, they use nanoprobes. Come to think of it, wouldn't it make sense for the special ability to be named that?

Borg technology is build for Borg purposes, no one in his/her/it´s right mind would implement pure borg tech of any kind, cause it would mean to assimilate yourself. (Guess the Borg wouldn´t mind  :shifty:)

So they have to take some components and refit them to their needs. While i would like some visual changes on borg mixed tech ships, they should not look like assimilated vessels, which means basically a lot of new textures.

Frankly i can think of better ways for the Team to spend their time on.

i agree, no race would take borg improvments to that extreme where would be visable over there own tech, otherwise would be too borged that the borg would have a great advantage and ability to take over that tech themselfs and assimilate that ship much easyer

Perhaps true, but I'd still very much appreciate some cosmetic differences between ships and their mixed-tech counterparts. Especially the entirely new classes, but they already look different

Well the Pulse Rhienn looks different than the normal Phasar/unupgraded Rhienn. In all probability, cosmetic differences will probably be added more when new textures are added (for instance, a mixed tech Leahval will probably be made to look different when the new Leahval model is incorporated)... however, as the developers have stated before, mixed tech isn't such a high priority (more just a cool feature) so I doubt will be seeing drastic time consuming cosmetic differences anytime soon.

The only reason Voyager had Borg implants on it's hull was because the Borg put them there, Starfleet wuld not ruin the appearance of their ships by adding ugly, glowing green blocks to the hull.
