Well if theres only a few derelicts on a map and they blow up if yuo don't capture them in like 5 minutes, wouldn't that give away the secret of what they are to human players?

i was thinking:

the derelicts whood be a feecher that you whood have to resherch to get on some ship like scouts.

I forgot the customary Welcome to the Forums!

This could work but it would need differant derelicts but the thing is, how can you come up with a derelict without actually losing a ship? It would make sense to booby trap an already derelict vessel and when someone tries to get it it blows up and maybe takes any ships near it with it.

Well I dont think that derelict ships would be good for this idea, just make a few freighters load them up with explosives and then get near an enemy vessele and blow up the whole thing :D  :D
emmmm, I think that would be more of a kamikazee ship ;)

Well it would make more sense to remote control it, something the japanese never thought of

It's an interesting idea, if i can be done. It would probably just be like a version of the cardassian dreadnought weapon. It would appear to be a derlict vessel to all over players, but you have a choice so when an enemy ship approaches you can blow it up and that everyone with you.

@Defaint about Japanese : Hey, whatever works man

the kamikazee idea would work, load a freiter full of antimatter and send her after the enemy
Enemy: "Enemy freigter approaching, and its hailing"
Enemy Captain: On screen
A barrel of antimatter comes up on screen
Enemy captain: Why is that antimater container the captain
***KABOOOM***

also the thing about japaneese kamikazee's they don't use readio controls because they din't hav the tech

Or how bout you remote control it so you don't waste lives...I think they have remoe controls in the 24th century since we have them now...

@ The_View of course they didn't, only the allies could remote control a plane and they had to from another plane behind it and while it was already in the air.

Interesting concpet but I think it'd be best used like the Dreadnaught weapon the Cardies have in the Original A2. Sort of a dumbfire weapon. Click and forget. But wouldn't that almost be a super weapon of sorts?

You could just put a self-destruct on a freighter(or any ship), and edit the self-destruct to make it stronger???I will check and see if you can. It is probably a special weapon that can be added...edit the self destruct odf...I will check it.

:hmmm: I dont see how you can make the self-destruct stronger...Fleet Ops doesnt use self-destruct at all...I can add self-destrust to ships...change the time from self-destruct command to detonation...mabye the rom. Phoenix weapon scaled down??? I am checking :hmmm: you can use gbholeg.odf to change the weapon, include bholeg.odf (both on CD???)G2G Talk to Optec or DOCaCola...It is THEIR mod anyway...
