This is relayed from the Tal Shiar.

The Romulan military requires more ships. We have noticed that in battle, Romulans need to 'spam' a type of ship to win the day. The most common are Leavhals, and Generixs. Sometimes Shrikes. If we compare to the Federation, or Klingons, they can mass a number of ships. Due to the Feds have 2 yards plus the warpin, and Klingons have 3 yards.

Some feel that more ships should be added.

Oh, and if new ships are not added. Devs, Optec, DOCa Cola and the like. You may just receive a vist from the Tal Shiar.
To... motivate you.

I suggest you make your choice wisely, and, quickly.

Yes, I should also note; If anyone... "Dissagrees" with this, Empress Sela will be willing to "Talk" to you, in room five, next to the execution rooms.

Do they require another type of ship or do they just need to be balanced correctly??? I can not say myself because i suck at romulans. O one other thing im just asking a question for gameplay sake please do send the secret police after me.

I would rather say hat the Romulans need better balanced ships (within the faction, not compared to the ships of other races).

Armada 2 had the most serious balance issues within the races and not between the races. Federation had like 1 very useful unit, Defiants (with mines, the most useful ability in the game), Galaxys could be seen sometimes in online matches. The only other ship used by players was the Sovereign (with Corbomite reflector) on maps on which rushs couldnt be used to win the game.

I'm in favor of a new rommie ship.

I completely and utterly disagree :P

If you are building only Leahvals, you are playing against people who are letting you relax. Every Romulan unit has a use right now.

Romulans have what, 16 units? Dominion has 13? Klingons have 15? Federation has 20. I'm all for more ships with well defined roles - but not because people don't know how to use the current ones in mixed fleets.

actually i recently played a rom strategy as helev where you build small yard->1st tier research station->second small yard at expansion

but instead of spamming stuff i built two rhienns then equal numbers of leahvals and griffins. did rather well until i could get up to big yard and build warbirds. thats 3 different types early on, which isnt spam.

EDIT: ninjad by dom

I don't think the Rommies need another ship either. They are one of the most difficult races to play but I feel their ships are alright and each of them has a purpose on the field. The reason I suck at Rommies isn't the lack of ships. I'm just too dumb.  :sweatdrop:
But I'd like to second myleswolfers suggestion. That's what usually worked even for me at least when I got a chance to tech up that far

teching up to griffins is easy, the research centre that gives u leahval gives u griffin as well. just build two leahvals first. they are good early on. then go 2l 2g, then maybe 2l 3g after a while when u got two to three pairs go for warbirds. big d usually pays off best.

General Helev has no rivals; nobody suspects him, nor does anyone want to.
