8 nacelle sovvy

After giving it some thought, I think that the 8 nacelle sovvy should be given a special role in late game usage.

10 nacelles, even 20 nacelles is obviously pretty ridiculous.

But I think the 8 nacelle sovvy shows some real promise and has just the right balance of having extra nacelles but not to the extreme.

It reminds me of a lion and its mane.

Or a turtle peaking out of its shell.

Or an octopus.

Therefore, based on the above reasoning, and the potential of making FO fed ships look like animals, I think we should further explore this sovereign refit for its promising future role.

interesting theory, i suppose it's possible he waited til 10 to midnight on 1/4 to troll us with timezones

Yeah, I'm in Canada. I posted on April 1st in my time zone. It was into the evening around 9 pm or so. I was occupied during the day with other things, and didn't really have time to post.

First time I ever piggy backed on someone else's april fools.

I thought the animal gag was a dead give away. and If ten nacelles was obviously quite ridiculous whats the difference between 10 and 8? Why would I want ships to look like animals?

ha, well yeah, I dunno.

I sort of had to make it somewhat plausible in order for it to 'april fools' anyone. So I wrote a good balance between 2 and 20 was ... eight. Since that was in the pic. I guess we've seen four with the one nebula. So it does go upwards, but I'd probably never be in favour of excess nacelles. Then there was the attempted animal jokes justification which was just counteracted by the timezone confusion.

So people were left with either its serious and stupid or an april fools and much too late and lol kind of just blew up in my face.

Is anyone familiar with timezone discrimination? It's not oft discussed, but here I give you pause to think about the consequences of your actions. The unknown effects of online forums on their members!

a better example of 4 is the constellation or prommie, 4 nacelles can look fine imo.

if i remember correctly the prometheus actualy has 6 nacelles:P

2 warpdrive sections with 2 normal nacelles each and the saucer section with 2 smaller (hidden) ones

2 are retracted inside the saucer by default, hence i only count the 4 that are active when the prommie looks good without mvam on.
