Warp-in is too PHR33.
You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

The Warp-in is a 1337 feature.... but it is too PHR33 (Free in 1337, means that it is 1337 enough to be 1337 with a cost). Besides, there should be some downside to this thing. Because people simply just freely warp stuff in whenever low on supply so that they can buy supply and then spam standard stuff again. This is too useful of a tactic. This is why I propose to do one of the following.
Smaller chassis > Larger Chassis
This means Excelsiors, Steamrunners, and Nebulas should be more common than the good stuff (plus for the sake of punishment, make it possible to get 3 Excelsiors).
Arrival Cost
This idea proposes that depending on the ships that arrive, it costs you supply. For example:
ShipSupply
Excelsior3
Steamrunner3
Nebula5
Ambassador6
Galaxy6
Descent12
Destruction Cost
This is an Idea someone else brought up that was ignored mostly. This is when if a warp-in is destroyed, you loose resources (mainly supply).
Edit: Fixed the table.

Yes that was me who brought it up
.
I actually withdrew my suggestion upon the arrival of 3.1 because the Warp-ins now fulfill different roles. It used to be that the Excelsior's could kite and such, but now because of the speed changes the Excelsior's are sitting ducks with oodles of firepower and the bigger ships are a bit faster. They are still very strong, and make no mistake they are FREE, but they are almost less of an issue to me now than they were before.
---I still think the Feds could use a small Supply cost (25 supply) when calling these ships. That way they have an inherent value and are worth saving and not wasting. That way also the Feds see a little bit more of a pinch on their supply levels as right now they can be WELL into Battleships before they have to even consider supplies.

Problem is, I DON'T want excelsiors, nebulas or ambassadors.
As soon as I get those, I select them and hit the "K" key ( search and destroy ). If they survive up to two goldbars, fine, I recall them and add them to the guard fleet, but I don't use them for offensive operations. My only intention is to recover the precious slot for yet another galaxy or steamrunner.
So, unless I can choose what I want as warpin, I don't want to be penalized for losing what I don't want.

yeah, lol. what if you chose how to compensate the captains? I always have an excess of tritanium, so what if I could choose to pay him in such?
I don't know, its still a distress call, so the point is that it should be free. thats why sometimes you get crappy ships.

And this is EXACTLY why you need to be penalized

Hmm...
You see, I DON'T like playing the Feds. Ask around.
My take is that playing Feds is for spoiled brats that think they deserve the best just for being the Feds. So I play accordingly when my "random" faction selection makes me become Fed.
The chances of me having a temper tantrum if I don't win as Fed are about 100% higher that when playing any other faction.
After all, the other factions must lose against the Federation. "They are the good guys!"
Goram spoiled brats.

Fed-haters maybe aren't the best place to get Fed ideas from...

Agreed.
FYI: I'm not a Fed hater, I'm just someone trying to equalize the races a bit more.

I can tell by your many Federation Scimitars. I was referring to the Fed and Fed-fan hater before me.

Well, usually you can spot a Fedrat by his/her suggestions to improve the Feds or claims of "faction X is OP", when actually the only OP faction are the Feds.

I think all fed ships should be given the paladin bubble from world of warcraft.
