You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

after playing klingons heavily lately i must say i'm ipressed. i'm no expert but they feel klingon to me. afaik klingon follow the 'many small units' way. this is of course reflected nicly in FO. the same ideology is affecting klingon stations. they have many specialized stations which means more shipyards and research stations then others.
another thing that seems very resonable to me is klingon defence and mining stations. they're expensive (spy station is something like 3 times as expensive as dom one) and not very powerful.
klingon special abilities are by far the most offensive in the game imo.
this makes for a really agressive race that is harassing u from minute one in the game and feels v warrior to me. that's why i would like them to stay as they are now. they can be played in so many different ways and seems v well balanced and thought over.
some of your ideas guys are worth considering but i would hate to see klingons ruined or simplified.
just my 2 cents

Klingons are pretty decent in FO, I just haven't quite got the knack for them in this release compared to the PR version where Duras Bops and Kvorts owned everything.
It's a shame that Bop's aren't as good with the tripple yard at the start, All I seem to do with Klingons atm is spam Vor'cha's and Sang's

A screen of vorcha backed up by about 2 B'rel per Vorcha, and 1 Negh'var for every 5 vorcha usually serves to shred most attacks. If using Taq'rojah, throw in some Velaraquh on alternate ammo to take out engines without relying on Polaron Torps.
With that established, and perhaps backed by a starbase, you can pretty freely experiment with finding attack forms you like. I'm a big fan of the Luspet hit-and-run. Love breaking their hulls while they still have shields.

I must say I'd prefer fewer ships and stations also. Instead my preference would go to having 4 or 5 basic ships, which can be built also as a "stripped" variant or an "augmented" variant. This allows for keeping in the canonical classes while making the klingon fleet feel 'simple'.
However, one would expect a warriors race to be the inventors of some great weapons. It's not impossible to imagine they have many sorts of stations to create various destructive weapons.
Stripped variant:
Built much faster but lacks in armour and crew. It's rushed into service as cannonfodder, effective to repel an incomming fleet. Meant for battle in dire situations, they lack advanced systems and have no cloaking device.
- Strongly reduced built time.
- Reduced armour.
- Reduced crew.
- Subsystems take damage faster.
- Lacks a cloaking device.
- No special attacks.
Augmented variant:
When time allows it a klingon ship can be upgraded beyond specs to form a strong first line when battle draws closer. They hold the same specs as a standard ship, but are increased in armour, subsystem strenght and repair faster. They have the most advanced systems in the fleet.
- Increased built time.
- Increased armour.
- Subsystems can take more of a beating.
- All ships have a special attack.
* Requires a research per class.
