Or you can just select the group, hit repair, deselect the one repairing, and then hit metaphasic.  I think that's slightly different from what Dom's describing?   The wording made it sound like you do metaphasic first then do repair later.  I think this other way involves fewer button click, I think, and you're taking care to protect your injured vessel first.  Only the ship that's taking damage will repair, then you can use the metaphasic disruptor and move the ship you repaired off a ways so that it can recharges it's energy in peace.
