OP Sangs and UP breen cruisers

Used properly and in numbers(which isn't hard as the monsoon is faster to buid and cheaper than the Sang) Sangs can't stand a chance, no Klingon would build anything else, if even the best counter wasn't enough ;), but I can remember that I saw some Vor'chas, KVorts and KBQs every now and then ... It looks like you want to ban all long ranged 360degree ships from the game, even if they have decent counters.

Yes, but unlike Sangs you can easily double yard monsoons ;). Even Martok couldn't afford to double yard sangs.

i never said you couldnt :) my statement was limited to build times. how many yards you use is a strategic choice.

Not sure if I can agree not sure if I can disagree. If you get plenty of them they are really hard to counter.

However unlike romulan rhieen spam they are slow and dont make as much damage as rhieens does in large numbers (speaking only of kling & rom encounter). So  if you don't have the speed upgrades nor weapon upgrades they still get outmatched by rhieens and all other factions. Micromanagement is the trick.

I agree however that sangs + rhieens especially rhieens should get nerfed a lot in the damage rate they give. Or perhaps by increasing their price, adding limitation for a max number of ships maybe simply by giving a much larger supply cost to both units. I think for every factions simply spamming stuff is a lame thing ala C&C what is really boring. And many people tend to do so it's a shame.

Klings vs Roms is in 80% automatically a victory for Romulans. They simply mass produce rhieens and basically thats all what they need here. Klingons lack very badly a counter for them which makes roms OP compared to Klingons. Against other factions roms are weak though.

The other factions against roms are more or less balanced if you don't count feds with their nasty fedrolling which also hopefully sometimes get balanced.

Roms & Feds & Klings are a bit OP regarding some game mechanics at the moment and many are complaining about that. But well I'm not whining it's up to the devs to see what they can do about it.

The ship itself is fine I think (talking about the Sang), the problem is, that it reaches critical mass quite fast. This could be nerfed by increasing the build time a bit.

Sangs have already been nerfed to hell once; their kiting potential was vastly lowered via speed reduction. I'm far from convinced that the Sang's sudden return from the refuse bin is a sign of being 'overpowered' and not merely useful. In my eyes, being able to stand toe-to-toe with other races is a good thing.

Martok most certainly can double yard the battle yard is almost the same price as the small yard for every other race and to build sangs you only need the field yard up and as we all know shipyards build quite quickly, before getting into an arguement about this how about you try it and come back with the correct information. If you dont have to build the research stations then why would you think that person cannot afford another 700dil to build a second battle yard?

I already tested this tactic with kitsubi he double yarded monsoons and i double yarded sangs , in the end i had alot more sangs and i kited him, i ran at him firing out of range and pulled off while he tryed to chase but theres always 1 or 2 ships that go ahead they get killed and he pulls his fleet off the attack again, then i rinse and repeat.

Before you posts AGAIN that this doesnt work because monsoons are faster then come on with me and try it, i was beaten twice by sutee who did this and i double yarded monsoons. But to be sure i just didnt screw up i tested it with me doing the sang spam. When the sangs are already moving away the speed difference doesnt matter , in mass the torps will still kill a monsoon and the monsoon can barely get into firing range to hit them.

The sang's stats are well balanced, but perhaps a supply increase would make them less spammable (since 10 sangs is about the scariest thing you can face in this game)

As for breen cruisers, I think they're very well balanced, but larger ships in general need a boost (except B-5!!!)  This is because for a while there, the map size was generally larger than it is now.  Look at maps like The Very First Map, it's just a different design philosophy.  Tech racing used to be a problem, but I think the best solution is to create smaller, more balanced maps rather than nerfing larger ships.

More big ships, more usefulness for torp rhienns, breen cruisers, S-7 Defenders... the anti-large ships that look good on paper but seldom get used.

borg can spam lots of scout cubes and they are scary when in large numbers (arash vs 23 down game).

I think sang are fine........:)

are they going to do anything about Rhienns on the next patch? I mean they increased build time for sangs..........
