What did you guys do here to foce Doca to delete posts

Well, it's not only personal experience that let me come to the conclusion that levathals repair only themselves, but also the fact, that is isan auto-repaur system.

yeah i was wrong. just played a match with the roms last night to verify it, and saw it myself. sorry for all the confusion, i could have sworn.... anyways.

is anyone actually playing with helev? i used to play with mijural, but i'm curious where the main difference is regarding playstyle and effectiveness.

by the way.. im all for the stuff about the shrike, it could really need a small buff.

Well there's much difference between helev an mijural. I prefer mijural but actually I play helev mostly. The reason is the +3 offense for rhienn disruptor refits and the widly rediced supply costs.

The best working strategies for me are shrikes and levathals, later warbirds, whe i go with mijural.

With helev I rely on rhienns and generix support and go for warbirds in the last stages of the game only.

The helev strategy is far mor effective in short games in my opinion, as you have many ships in the first stages of a game, because you do not run out of supplies that early. Further the rhienns longrange helps you to avoid heavy losses, but this needs good microing. If the game is laggy she shrikes are better. You send them into battle and can hope that you just outnumber the enemy and make him indefendable by the critical shot alike weapon. Whereas rhienns can be retreated easily shrikes are always on do or die missions. As mid-game is dominated by gererix helev is also in advance, but with any avatar a full fleet od gererix supporters is most indestructible. In endgame I experience the tide to turn, as the +4 offense for warbirds greatly enchances your fleet.

thanks so far, sounds interesting. did you use helevs ships? the griffin and the avatars warbird? are they as usefull as their counterparts?i tried this radiation thingy once, but it didnt trigger (cause they were shot down to fast by the borg xD), so i dont know if they are worth the try or could need a buff or tweak

To be honest NO

The eresis is worthless compared to a norexan and it's special is most useless.

The griffin is quite a good cruiser, but the special weapon's duration is too small to be of use.

Shrike is not really superseded by the griffin, rather by the rhienn refits. The shrike has no real helev counterpart.

Caehliar is just ingenous. (Though the weapons action is most unrealistic)

Well, I really play helev only because of the two reasons mentioned in my former post, but these are significant ones.

Mimesot, those are exactly the same reasons/things I'd say (I wrote the same stuff in The Hitchhiker's Guide^-^)
Helev is a early game avatar, Mijural is a late game (+3 to warbirds and increased speed though Mimesot), so it's really up to your playstyle (hence Mijural tends to work better in team games then in singleplayer, unless your 1v1 opponent isn't too aggressive.

I'm still working out the kinks with the Griffin honestly: it's slightly useful when combined with generix refits because of no speed difference, but the fact that it's ability fails on occasion means that all ships in the area can still see (so you need about 4-8 of them to make a real difference).

A Mimesot said, the Eresis is worthless: it is relatively expensive and its special does almost no damage (seriously, it is the worst area of effect damage I have ever seen--not to mention that the pitiful damage it does to one unit still gets split over all in the area). It would take I think 15 Radiation hits to wipe out a single B'rel... far from effective.
