Descent Class, becoming useless?

You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

lets boost all ships values by 100 percent just because everybody hates nerfing so lets make all ships stronger but by the same amount

Like most ships in the game the Descent is only powerful against certain other ships and thus it's value is situational as other people have said. It's much like the Defiant: the Defiant is able to devastate quite a few handful of ships, yet the Klingon Chargs can mop Defiants up no problem. I find the descent is only strong against other large ships since it uses torpedoes and it tends to fail if small ships gang up on it. I generally only use the Descent if I know a player is trying to spam battleships.

It just keeps going and going and... oh wait it just got alpha targeted.

If Im against someone using a Descent as Duracell i target it to make them use the recharge to early.

I think it is very useful though, send it in t a turret nest and use the other 'less' shielded ships to take the turrest out.

Oh and i got a vet Descent once... thing made Godzilla look like a kitten.

That's Not a Bad Idea.  Now I want a big container ship that can vent the stuff all over my fleet during a fight.

resurecting an old thread are we?

you guys should really check the dates on these things. I think it was already made quite clear that, though its prime use is as a battery :whistling:, it is still useful.

It's really not that old :D.

However it's no longer about the Descent...

What's so taboo about posting to older threads?  Nothing.

And Zaxxon's Boggz' right.  This thread is about Green Nebula-in-a-can now...

Nah... not crysalid! The Descent is basically a tank of compressed Metaphasic gas.

But the BortaS with its Ion nebula is basically a Metreon Gas Tank (meaning, a very badly damaging nebula)...
