Descent Class, becoming useless?

You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

You're not really claiming that the Feds are underpowered, are you?

  Are you?

So, well...

I got so OWNED!

Uhm.. no. Not really  :innocent:

edit:
Something to stay at least somehow on topic: There were in fact some moments I wished for a Descent Class and its special. That baby would have saved some good ships. So I don't think it's useless. :)

Anyone who calls the Descent useless hasn't stuck it by their Starbase or Quantum Turret fleet under siege.

Ray...*facepalm*
Halarious, but I think you missed the point where we were talking about the descent class...:whistling:

@Tyler
I never said it was useless, in fact I was sure to say that its special weapon is great, it just seems that when games are going even quicker, you never get to a defensive lategame where you need a big defensive battleship, when the only quick way to win is to A) out mine your enemy, and b) to out gun them with as many ships as possible.  When you are playing that tactic, you no longer care if your fleet is damaged when you could have three instant ships that will either rank up, or die.  then again, you could have this big hulk of a placeholder that doesn't do much damage on its own, but takes up more slots than the three ships which do lots of damage.  With its special it is an amazing ship, and can save a whole fleet, but that makes it not much more than a repair ship. :sweatdrop: IMHO

:borg: The Descent class can always be useful if used right. I often use it as a spare sheild battery to preserve some of my good ranked ships.

Ray is kind of like an ADD kid who forgets what we're all talking about .

Don't worry, Zaxxon.  I see what you're getting at with the Descent and apparently Optec did too.  That's what should matter: that Optec acknowledges the fact that the Descent is still cool, it's just not worth it compared to the other Warp-ins.

:o Oh no.... they're planning the Phase Cloak Oberth! I just know it! I just know it! I don't know of any other candy in this candy store that hasen't been put in this mod's bag other than the Phase Cloak Oberth! Oooooo.... I think I just found a Transwarp Soulwolf. Wait! What am I saying? It is too expensive! Just a dollar over my budget! :crybaby:

Candy isn't Phase-cloaking Oberth, it's obviously 3 varients of the Galaxy (all buildable).

As long as it's eye-candy, and they actually get nerfed, I'm all for it... :)

Why do you love nerf so much? As soon as a ship is brought up, you mention nerfing it. Just curious.

i think he meant that as long as the feds as they are get nerfed (later warpin and stuff) it is ok for them to get some special stuff, as long as it is just eye-candy; so as long it doesnt effect the balance
