Borg - with veterans and doubel gold bars not too impressive

I suspect that those borg ships were wiped out by the wonder power of the Subspace Distortion(?).

i find it takes roughly 8-10 cubes to wipe out a single base of which you may lose a few cubes but this also gives you time to build reinforcements which you use to attack the next target keep this up and truely resistance is futile just make sure u leave your base protected and dont forget those sensor relays or those pesky romulans and klingons will keep launching relentless surprise attacks

thats on ai merciless ive not played fleetops online as i only have mobile broadband at home i usually go up against 7 ai opponents my brother has superfast sky broadband so next time im there i will play as borg online and see how many cubes i need then probably more than 10 lol :thumbsup:

Didn't take me 10 Cubes to take out an AI Dominion Base.

Humans are a lot more difficult to beat than an AI, so I'd roughly double the number of ships needed.

well i was playing map with the squares and the wormholes i first sent out 6 cubes but got caught up in a huge fight with the feds and dominion in the middle of the map and lost 4 in the battle i managed to get the remaining 2 home and let them regenerate while i assembled a larger force next i sent out 8 cubes and a diamond which made it intact to a dominion base which i then wiped out losing another 2 i then sent another 4 making 10 total and the diamond which i used to decimate the 6 remaining sides i lost 4 more cubes in the following battles so it took me 16 cubes and a diamond to wipe out 7 merciless ai opponents totaling 4 hours and over 2000 ships dstroyed or assimilated in the carnage

If you used a few more Diamonds (2-3), you wouldn't need nearly as many Cubes...  :rolleyes:

played the same again last night this time only using tactical cubes it only took 7 to eliminate all 7 ai opponents destroying nearly 2000 ships along the way

To me the Borg are far under powered... Cubes should be given FO steroids and have their build times multiplied...

Imo all borg units should gain a damage reduction buff from special weapon abilities that lasts 15 seconds, refreshed per hit from the same ability.

1st hit 100% damage/effect of debuff taken.
2nd hit 75% damage/effect of debuff taken.
3rd hit 50% damage/effect of debuff taken.
4th hit 25% damage/effect of debuff taken.

It makes me ill to see a tactical borg cube being blown up in less than 10 seconds to those Dominion purple ray of death ships (sorry I cant remember the name of the ship or the ability). With the 4th hit being the cap, this will stop players building a zerg of the same overpowered ships (hi canerval/dominion purple ray ships) and will force them to mixed their fleets better with other ships. I know it will be a right pain for developers to implement but it will give back the borg some adaptability.


Also maybe give 20 connections everytime a connections research rate has finished along with the rate increase?

how about an adaption special which makes the cube immune to damag from the race u r fighting for lets say 20 seconds till the enemy manage to remodulate their weapons and i too have notice that the klingons and dominion can take out a cube with a small fleet in roughly 10 seconds >:(
