that is odd, i need the disc to play IA as well.

maybe you had the disc in the drive and didnt know it dom

i made an image of my A2 disc a long time ago cos i didnt wanna lose it. its funny it started life as an iso then i stupidly burned it because i didnt noe what mounting was back then (i was young and stupid). now i made it an image again.

Nope, got my disc (and its copy) safely stowed on my shelf. No "no-cd" programs on my computer, nada. Maybe it's cuz AII is also installed?

i have both installed and fleet ops still asks for the disc. the only thing i can think of is did you have another activision disc in the drive

i find when i want to play bridge commander, i dont need a no-cd crack if i mount the image of the bridge commander disc (which on its own fails the cd check) and also have the armada 2 disc i burned in the drive. the Cd checks were compatible.

maybe you have bridge commander or another disc with the same copy protection software in the drive. try it with an empty drive. or a dvd of your latest attempt to take over the world.

I've got a laptop, so unless the CD is jammed in REAAAALLY well and deep (that's what she said), there's been nothing in there (asides from movie DVD's) for five months  . Oh, and of course the DoWII DVD. I guess I just was smiled upon ... this is very peculiar now though

u r not missing much. unless of course u like to see how to fail at game balancing when u have 1 building and 8-12 units for every race

Lawl @ that.

  Warp-in is essentially fine now with passives providing easier counters.  The Feds themselves now have too little of a drain on their resources ... but Warp-in is fine

Everyone has its own opinion of course, so with that out of the way. I must say I disagree
I think they had the balls to change the traditional concept of RTS and I think they have done a good job at it. Though balancing could be better, I prefer new game mechanics and inovation, with a little unbalance,  to the copy-paste approach companies like Blizzard and Activision seem to take ^^

But again, everyone has its own opinion

. The game does have pretty graphics (if only my computer could display them )
