Another Hyperspace Arty Thread!!! w00t!

So, after rambling on and on in another thread, I just sparked an idea that might fix the problem for both sides of the argument.
What if the Hyperspace Artillery gained experience (just like the Bortas). It would start out doing a little less damage than what it does now, and increase the damage dealt through getting kills. This seems like it would reward those who protect their artys, while giving the other side a better chance initially.

lol why didnt u post this in the other hsa thread currently open?
if these get moved to the other thread ill delete references to this thread (if a mod moves it feel free to remove the first two lines)
i like this idea, the rankups would have to be small, maybe 3-5% extra damage per shot increase for each rankup. officer ability could be a defence boost, or reduces the time it loses engines (if the idea to make it immobile before and after firing is implemented)
maybe veteran hsa could get larger blast radius.
of course it would need to kill many ships to rank up. so maybe 5 uses gets u a rankup if each time u kill some stuff.

lol no need to thank me, its a realistic idea and adds depth. now in return you must support ambas sep.

time in combat would teach the jemhadar on the hsa how to aim better, how to load shells faster etc. they would get better at stuff. which is how experience works.

maybe for the fed intro, make all the new players think ambas has sep. then they play and it doesnt.
i would love if the devs gave us ambas sep, but not galaxy. with the sole purpose of p**sing off ray and the other galaxy sep lobbyists. i would accept sabre sep though. i mean look at this:

Another idea: Make every Shot cost like 75 dil, 25 tri and 15 sup!
it's not much but it still hurts on the long run. And Similar to Reavers in star craft, if a weapon really annihilates stuff, it should also use a lot of ressources for every shot! The sheer damage on impact and the graphics imply, the shots gotta be pretty high energetic. So why not make it like "Arm Artilery" for 75 dil, 25 tri and 15 sup, like slowing the arty down by 50% till it has fired and allowing it to fire after like 10 seconds? (maybe increase the base speed slightly)
that way, the arty would need to stay at the front for longer or crouch there with really low speed, cutting the "arty yer face and just backing off" effect.
So basically, just make the arty need a little bit more planning for offensive use as it shouldn't be like put the shot in and just go away, maybe even make the arty unable to move after it fired the shot.
Theres plenty of options, just grad one of them and im fine with it

If the HSA gets a cost I think it should be in supplies. That way they can apply their super-cheap supply mining and reduce the impact.
What if the officer HSA lowered or removed this cost?

I'd rather say, shut down the engines of the arty for x seconds after the blast. It just spent all its energy on delivering that blast and now needs to get up its systems again. And THAT could be lowered by the experience of the crew!

i like this, low ranked hsa might damage itself, disabling a random subsystem. maybe 5% chance. jemhadar dont have unions

or every time it fires it loses some crew to radiation.

5% chance to blow up itself is like... retarded. After all, a strategy game should be predictable and not entirely decided by dice rolls.
Just consider this: you manage to sneak up on your opponents yard, he has a lagre bunch of freshly repaired ships there, while still microing his battle which is far away, so he doesn't notice. You auim arty

lol if u dont like the risk, dont build the hsa, put your money into some battleships/weapons upgrades, which wont explode randomly. plus it obviously wouldnt destroy your hsa just damage it, annoying u.
