When people get desperate, they don't always play in the most logical way.

I found it really funny that the AI on... Medium Settings is more tactical than on Hard... if I play against Medium I got an overwhelming, well mixed fleet even with repair ships and such against me... on Hard, never ever saw a single repair ship of the enemy...
On Medium, the AI used multiple Fleets and more or less lured me into a trap...
On Hard, the AI does nothing but building fleet, gathering all ships and move as one big fleet against your enemy and is highly predictable, the only thing that is really hard here is that the AI comes with all ships at once...

Don't forget building veqlarg's and researching the special weapon: absolutely murders Borg.

Yeah, but I was broke.  Getting constantly hit from all sides from the beginning does that to you.  It's why I put everything into the Vutpa.  I was originally planning to steal a few ships and decommission them for the money to work on other stuff, but the attacks got worse and worse too quickly, so I just kept recrewing the Vutpa, and letting stolen ships take the initial wave of firepower while I pumped out more Vutpa for faster capture.

Then the Tavara started coming in, and I stole them, which started giving me breathing room because they hit hard enough to break most attacks, and drew fire that otherwise would be killing the Vutpa.  That let me begin to recover enough to stop pumping out Vutpa, and try to fight back.  Unfortunately, the Borg were more than prepared.

I've actually started noticing this myself.

I think that what may be stopping the Borg AI in certain matches is other AIs sending huge groups of cloaked ships to their base, so they don't have enough room to build.  I've seen times where the borg on hard were impossible to beat, and I've also seen times when they didn't hardly build anything and were easily taken down.

Right so a bunch of my friend from school have been testing this out over the past few days, and well the Borg AI on Hard always dies, single fleet of any race can wipe them out and Ive never ever seen a single cube in Multiplayer, in the same time frame, the Hard Dominion have taken over 1/4 -1/3 of an 8 player map and crush everything in there path.
the very last game a free for all, 1 Dominion on hard crushed a dominion player, a fed ai, klingon ai, borg ai and Romulan player, with very little fighting between the rest. The Ai the Dominion have Should be what the Borg have, and they really need a boost.
And while im on AI, Romulans and Klingon AIs seem to leave there fleets cloaked while theyre base in being rampaged threw... something needs to fix that.

I'm not thoroughly convinced that all the AI's on everybody's computers are equal... I've noticed that Klingon are a heck of a lot weaker on my comp... yet my roomate's Hard AI for Klingon is quite brutal. (We built up and let the AI attack for the same length of time to standardize things)

one of the problems with the new cloaking ai is the ai doesn't understand the anticloaking measures that can be imployed against it. idk if this can be fixed but it would be nice.

i have that too the ai thinks it is hidden and no one can see it and + it dosent attack at all when they are cloaked.. witch is bad becase their ships just fly around and dont attack anything  :ermm:

Sounds realistic, in the show the only evidence that you can be seen is the enemy is shooting at you.

True but if you were hiding you would know what ships were capable of finding you.

Not always, the Romulans only knew the Enterprise could see them because they moved away when the Warbird faked a collision. They only started to suspect Enterprise could see them because it were around too long.

They only knew the ship was around too long and started a test, not that the ship could detect them.

ok fine leave it the way you want it but i would like to see the AI play more like a human. right now it just acts stupid.
