A comment on Borg AI and AI in general.....
You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

Has anyone noticed Borg on hard are a joke. When my friends and I can't play, I play against comps. So I'll do "theme" battles of sorts. i.e. 2 borg vs 2 feds vs 2 rommies in a 3 team ffa (all on hard btw). The AI stomps the Borg w/o even breaking a sweat. Anyway to make them a little better?
Also I've noticed that the Dominion are far too powerful late game on hard. I had my full base stomped by one ai and I must have had something like 50 graviton turrets, 5 cubes, 8 spheres, 5 assim, and 1 or 2 various other ships. All heavy damage builds and I was micromanaging the shit out of the battle. I'm not a bad player by any means, but I'm finding Dominion a little too hard if you let them go too long on hard ai....and Borg are just waaay too easy to beat on hard ai. Any plan on looking into this or fixing?

Try letting the Borg go as long as you did the Dom. Remember that Dom fleet that ate you? Substituted every V-13 and Breen Battleship in it for Cubes, every Breen Cruiser and T-15 for Assimilators and Spheres, and every Bugship and Bomber for Scoutcubes. The AI doesn't play Borg by anything approximating the rules players have to use.

I've let the borg go just as long and I protected them and let them build....still nothing. Still, that's not really the point. I think the AI needs to be looked at as a whole. Klingons don't attack enough, Feds seem fine. Romulans are great now, imo....though maybe a 3rd Tavara might be allowed (for humans as well as AI). Dominion need to have it toned down a bit and Borg need to be beefed up a lot. Obviously this is the AI and not human players...but lets face it...half the games we all probably play are comp stomps.

Truth in this topic.

Hmmm; the difficulty of the AI for me after playing 1 hour is in this order: Borg, then Romies tied with Klingon, the Dominion tied with Federation. (most difficult to least difficult)
I've played anything from long 2 hour games, to quick 20 minute spam against each of these races.
Shorter games Favor romies and Kling, with Borg being the weakest in my opinion.

well i had bad luck with my borg AI as enemy last time
had 5 hard AIs as enemy, after i defeated the dom one i tried myself at the borg AI. The AI answered with a dozent cubes after i killed half of the AIs main base. Thats crazy, specally cuz it took me about 15 Mins to take down all the tons of pyramids and spheres the AI had around its base

That's about normal. Borg AI has to be shredded early, or they rapidly become ridiculously overpowered because they seem to follow the exact same build ratio as they would for other races. So you get massive numbers of ships that there is no concievable way they had enough dilithium and tritanium to build. Like over a dozen cubes, some tactical cubes thrown in, and then increasing amounts of lighter vessels, like facing a Dominion fleet in numbers.

At least they gradually build them over time, they could act like a human player with the cube appearing instantly out of nowhere.
Imagine the kind of numbers the Borg could have if the did that.

I did get to have a fun battle that I almost won with a Borg AI that had been allowed to grow too long, though. I got forced to defensive against two Romulans and a Dominion, so I got really desperate and directed my entire capability to the spamming and upgrading of Vutpa. Had so many of them that I got to hit the Borg with a 16 Tavara fleet, because the Rommies just kept sending them right into the midst of a huge number of Vutpa. Unfortunately, the Borg fleet was far too large and powerful by then and ended up eating me anyway with their screen and a half of ships.

a fleet of 16 tavaras shredded ... holy cow. no wonder that my fleet hat no chance against the borg fleet, even though the fleet did eat a dominionbase before quite easily ....

If your talking about silent93, he was desperation spamming KLINGON Vutpa' Class and took over the Tavara's.
Reckon YOU could build Generix & Cehlear Class using the Klingons?
