Upcoming Galor Class

I'm working on modding in a Galor class (to be released of course!) and i want your opinions on if i have a good setup for it in terms of stats as well as veteran ability ideas.
It has:
High offensive
low defensive
low system
low costs
high buildtime
medium-high speed
Its classed as a heavy destroyer with 2 beam weapons.
So, what ideas do you have? i'd love to hear them!

maybe special ability - spying (send garak to "work" on some other race station or ship:D)
if cardasians were in fleetops i would have played with them all the time.. there're my favorite!

hmmm maybe something like:
phaser overload - one shot with incredible damage, but then a cool down of the weapons of 5-10seconds (whereever its balanced in between)
so like a hit-n-run sort of a ship like a shark in openspace

Hey that's pretty good! i'll have to investigate how those types of weapons work... Say optec (or doca), how would i go about building a weapon like that? can i just do something like
disableweapon0 = 1
disable0time = 10.0
disableweapon1 = 2
disable1time = 10.0
or is it done a different way?

id use the replace weapon command. then you could give it one weapon with long cool down time. then you could use the replace weapon again after 5 to 10 seconds to get back to the original ship.

Wait... WHAT? The Galor is a Destroyer???
Every game I played it was either a cruiser or a battleship, but a DESTROYER??? Who chose to dwarf the Cardies??? Hopefully to make up for that I get a Hutet class battleship or I'll officialy call the Cardassians a ripoff! >:(

The galor class is approximately equal to the Excelsior class in terms of firepower lol.

The galor stats should be.
Offensive 18ish
Defense 12ish
system 10ish
And the weapons overload is a perfect Idea for its special with cooldown. Then later you can add a keldon class which would have values closer to a galaxy class perhaps.

First off: it wasnt more powerful than a heavy cruiser (i think) in the DS9 time period so making it a destroyer seems the best fit.
Second, it has base stats of 24 off, 13 def, and 11 sys. However it gets 3 offensive per rank up, and thats it. So its role is basically a raider since it has destroyer defenses with cruiser weapons.
Don't worry, you'll like the galor. It has low costs so you can spam it (even though it's buildtime is a bit long). And even if you don't like the galor, you'll get a nice big vessel! i'll have to look through my inventory of cardassian ships but i think i can find one that will work suitably well for being a big ship.

Well, in A1 they made the Galor a destroyer in the Romulan mission "Call to Power" (even though for some reason it was called a Damar class ship, and the Keldon was labeled as Galor).
IMO for some reason I always pictured the Galor as a just a pure battleship with no special abilities, at least nothing notable. In DS9 and in most video games they really served as nothing more then offensive attack ships. If I were to give them an ability I'd probably stick with something that involved overloading it's weapon systems to do a great deal of damage in a short time, but leaving the ship's engines or something disabled afterwards for a bit.

Ok alomst got it done except for the sp weapon and a little snafu which you guys might be able to help out with.
When the vessel hits single gold bar rank, it cannot level up further. I have verified that every related command (nextrankxp, xplevel, nextrankclass, etc.) is set properly, and of course i have the required rank 5 files. Any ideas?

Would it be possible to make it refit-able as the type three gallor also has photon torpedoes, plus Gul Dukat refers to the type three being one of their best with some ambiguity, so there could be a type four and five refits as well. Also does it have to be only a destroyer, Memory Alpha classes it as a medium cruiser.

The GalorClass onscreen is usually referred to as a Destroyer.

It's referred to as a battleship in some episodes, but I think they were alternate universe or something...
