Talk about anything related to old versions of Armada.

Is there any way I can get fleet-ops like tooltip formatting for stock Armada2?  I know it requires a DLL, but I can't build one.  At least not yet.  Would the Fleet-Ops 3.0.0 DLL give me what I want if I plugged it into stock?

Then how do I format them?  And don't tell me it's the sprites.  Nevermind, I already know it's the sprites.  How do I format them?

what do you mean with format them? the font files allows you to asign a sprite to a certain char.

How do I format the tooltips?  I'm familior with making buttons and weapons sprites, but I'm not famillior with tooltip 'sprites.'

tooltips are contained in the dynamic_localized_strings.h file in the main directory.  you edit them with a good text editor.  more info is in the guide.

I know how to edit what the tooltip says.  That's irrelevant.

I'm wanting to know how to format them to have special characters like they do in fleet-ops, and to change the font, size, and how line-breaks are rendered.  Like the fleet-ops tooltips.  That's one of the few features I actually like about fleet-ops is how the tooltips are rendered and how flexible they are.

we all know how much contempt you have for fleetops, but do you really need to let us know so often? its kinda rude to go into someone's house then insult the decor.

No problem man, I think what you are looking for might be in the text_anim.spr(or something like that)

Do you mean "tex_anim.spr" or "TEX_ANIM_gui.spr"?  There is no "text_anim.spr" file.
