I keep a windows 98 in my basement for whenever I want to play 'oldie' armada. :wheelchair:

That's why I say "Even if it outdated, it still has a purpose". Because you are guaranteed to have it work on any 98.

the os is only part of the problem, hardware issues are problematic too

if you want to play star trek armada without problems keep a OLD pc with win9x around

tip of the day: never upgrade your PC  :thumbsup: go back to DOS

Yea, my old PC was a Win98, but I had to give it to my uncle if I wanted this new one.

  None of those solutions mentioned above, work. The only way to play it was to install it on an old PC with Windows 98 - Second Edition. The game works like a charm over that machine.

actually armada 1 works fine on my vista laptop - sound and all.

But wait. ???  You said earlier in this thread that it didn't work.  you atleast implied that the graphics were only just playable, and sound only worked better.  You never said it worked fine...

that was in xp, in vista it works lovely. i'll review my posts and see what i said

EDIT: sorry, it appears i wasnt clear, it worked bad in xp, graphics played ish, the sound was choppy, but on vista it worked lovely :D
