Hey guys, a few days ago I installed Armada 1 on my new PC and when I launched it the loading screen was mostly white and the graphics looked like they were getting ripped off the Ship hulls. Can anyone help?
I have a NVIDIA GEFORCE 9400 GT as a video card.

Is that a new high quality card?  If it is it may have problems with older games, and lesser graphics.

I think it is. It's one of the 3 latest from NVIDIA I think.

Btw, nice Insignia Pic Zaxxon.

Also, my dad said that we should try running the game on an ATI HD4650. Any tips?

lol, yeah, I have a laptop with NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G, and it said that it would specifically have a hard time with older graphics. Its not as good as y'alls, but it is on a laptop ;)  I would assume that is your problem, and compatibility mode does nothing for me, so I would assume the same for you. :sweatdrop:

lol thx mate :D

As for the ATI, if its a lower end graphics card, I would say it might work better, but I can't say for sure :whistling:

it mite sound silly but i found with my geforce 8400,to go into graphics card actual progrma via display settings and tweak so that it runs as the game requires its helped with alot of older games that i play, incl command and conquer to name just 1,as its was workin too good for the games to run effectively hence maps wud dissapears and lines appear for no reason, would suggest givin that a try

however it wasn't the sound he said was the problem :sweatdrop:  it was the graphics.

the graphics didn't work right either, just it was the sound that made it nearly unplayable.

i set sound acceleration (in xp) to basic.... that solved sound problem but in win7 its either crash or messed up graphic

yeah, thats how mine is with most old games.  the ones that work, work perfectly, but I have no idea why, and the same goes for the ones that don't work at all.
