the only thing i can suggest is downgrading the drivers.

on my computer the drivers supplied by the oem work better than the new ones from intel.

find your oem disc and install the drivers.

Omega drivers don't fix the issue, and I'm not going to the Omega drivers website in the future (I modified my HOSTS file to remove those annoying bing ads that searched the word when you put cursor on it, the Omega drivers site managed to finally put those bing ads in 2nd place for most fucking annoying when it prevented me from accessing anything while adblocking was in place. That doesn't even make sense, since ads pay based on clicking on them, a person using adblock won't click on ads even once they stop blocking them.)

Oem disk? If you mean the ASUS disk, I don't think it has the ATI drivers on it. Even if it does, they are the newest ones.

I might downgrade, but I have to worry about other issues that will cause (especially Grey screen of death.) I'll stick with the current drivers so I at least know what gameplay-affecting problems I'm going to encounter.

If asus make your computer then yes that disk, it should have a copy of windoze on it for u to reinstall if ur computer is toast. Its possible they put this data on your hard drive in a hidden partition to save money. It should have the drivers for ur graphics card, assuming they supplied it with the computer

The drivers supplied with the computer are probably not the latest unless u bought it very recently or ati dont give updates often. If they are latest then stay with them.

I got the computer a few weeks ago, and the last driver update was a month ago.

I don't know anything about your problem, but I can vouch that if you bought the computer 2 weeks ago, it's still very possible that there are newer drivers out there.  They had to manufacture that driver CD several weeks before they started selling that type of laptop.

well i have same problem for some time now and i notyced its only "screen" whats frozen... game is still going and you can issue orders just you do not see it (but you can hear it)  :D

like when you place building after the freze, wait few moments and then alt+tab out and then back in game and its building... or units moved to place when you ordered them after the freeze
