Okay I have tried everything from the original to patch project to fleet op. I keep ending up with the same issue I have tried it via direct tcp/ip and tunggle as well. Both computers were directly connected to the internet and I still had the issue so I know its not the router settings even though I knew it wasnt from the start.
It doesnt matter if the games being hosted from a windows 7 x64 bit computer or windows vista x32 bit or even windows xp x32 bit we keep getting the same issue. One of us hosts the game while the other connects the user shows up on the list and sits on 0% for a few seconds id say between five and ten. Then the user disconnects and we get an error that says "The game you tried to join was cancelled"
We have ran both computers that were not running xp in compatibility mode so its running xp and we have run the application as an administrator. We have gone as far as removing the game from the computers and installing the same copy using the same cd so on so forth. Still no luck however the computer running vista when the game would give us the "The game you have tried to join was cancelled" error it would crash the exe. So I went into the windows event logs to attempt to locate a fix for the issue. The error I got was the following.
Faulting application Armada2.exe, version 3.2.5.0, time stamp 0x3c4c76bd, faulting module dpnet.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x4791a6a3, exception code 0xc0000409, fault offset 0x0002b3e2, process id 0x1850, application start time 0x01cc521cc8553110.
Now heres where it gets confusing we are both able to connect to other peoples games we just cant connect to one another. I was able to connect to a game just fine via tunggle and so was she and it worked for all the computers might I add. I went and checked out versions of directx thinking it might be an issue with that seeing as its dpnet.dll that was crashing from what I can tell we are both running directx 11 though at this point I doubt thats the issue seeing as we were able to connect to all the other games being hosted on tunggle.
Any idea on how to fix this issue is welcomed because I have no idea how to go about fixing it at this point.

Are these two computers on the same network? If so, there might be an IP conflict due to Tunngle - however, that does not explain the crashing...

No they are not on a closed network it might work if they were id think.

I think the issue is with directx but I could be wrong. I am tempted to try the game on a computer running windows XP to see if the issue is directly related with windows 7 x64 seeing as he other computer connecting to the game is not x64 but rather x32 bit so im wondering if thats the issue.

Mine keeps telling me I'm not using the same version...No one is using 3.2.5?

Whenever I had that issue, or a similar one it was due to me not having my ports forwarded properly. I believe "Crisis" was the player this happened with. If he was in a game lobby I couldnt join and vice versa. Tunngle has a port forward checker built into it, see if everything is ok there. doesnt hurt to check twice. Once I used that checker, it told me the ports werent correct so I had to go back through and sure enough I had done it wrong.
Try a reinstall since everyone is using that version. sounds like something is broken.

It is much more likely that your firewall settings (for Tunngle and Fleet Ops) are improperly configured, or if that fails, reinstallation like Njm stated....

Ok, will do. Thank you for the info. Hopefully I can get all this hashed out soon.

Had the same issue with tunggle on both computer also tried doing a direct connection to the internet with no moment on both computers at the same time with the firewall disabled. It has to be a game issue I just cant figure it out.

I still havent been able to figure this one out on my own I have tried so many attempts. I have come to the fact that its not on my end but with the game itself. The game just doesnt support newer networks is my best guess. Because I have tried everything I can think of. For anyone wondering I have figured out that so long as both computers are running windows xp there have been no issues any other os I seem to have an issue no matter what road I have gone down. If anyone has an idea I be more then welcome to give it a try. Sucks I really enjoy this game and having it unable to play mutliplayer just blows.
Single works okay its only when I go online.

Well, like I said before, I have never heard of this issue before, and many other players use Vista or Windows 7 (like me) with people who also run XP. It seems certainly very odd.

This might be a bit late, but Dom asked a few months ago if you were on the same network and you replied that you weren't on a CLOSED network. Even if it's an open network, if you're both behind the same router then that is probably the issue. What router is it, and did you need to set up any application rules to get Tunngle to work?
