Systems Disabled Permanently

Noticed this in a game last night;

I had an Intrepid Class vessel hit by a Klingon Polaron Torpedo, causing it's sensors to be disabled. After the fight, i noticed the disabled system was not resetting, so i sent it to Repair and Recrew, but still, the system did not restore itself, and this lasted till the end of the game... Since it was already a fourth-ranked officer ship, and part of a capable fleet that substituted for it's sensors, this was no handicap.

But i had a Sovereign class vessel that was either also hit by a Polaron Torpedo, or wandered into a nebula - either way, it's shields were disabled, and also were not restored with time, so i chose to decommission this one. Again, not the hugest of disadvantages, but i think perhaps this is a bug?

If it's some new feature to provide extra challenge to the game, though, fantastic :D

yea, we are still trying to find a way how to reproduce this issue, so i can fix it..

The shield one can be sorted out in game already, just disable it again. If my shields re permenantly disabled, even after the effect ends, I transport someone to another ship and they are back to normal.

Doca, it works for me to have the ship upgrade its' status by a rank right after the system goes down...

Yeah, noticed this a bunch when fighting Klingons (any system will constantly blink yellow... even if they aren't actually down; aka weapons blinks yellow, but still fires fine... I think). Also, there is a weird glitch where the shield displays the "down" graphic (flickering), but is still actually up. This can only be reset by either transporting units onto that ship, or hitting it with another weapon.

if this bug hits the engines...the ship can fly around if you give him a single command

but by delegating a whole group this ship will not obey any command.

Maybe it helps, i often have this problem if the enemy uses engine disabler from the sovereign class.
