Hej folks
Since some weeks ago (3.1.2 and before) I am just not able to create games. I tried two PCs and my notebooks, with which I play FO a lot. For example I played FO two days ago, without any problems. Sometimes many restarts of my system seem to help - but I think the problem lies somewhere else.
My both PCs and my notebook are win7 64Bit, I always run FO as an admin. I use tunngle to play.
The problem is always the same: I can see the network games, I can join them, but after inserting the pw it stops. Nothing happens any more.
If I try to create a game on my own, the same: FO stops reacting. No crash report or anything - I have to kill the app with the taskmanager.
This is really annoying, as I thought, Hamachi is the one thing to blame, but I am not even able to play a game in the LAN here in my flat with some friends. Now. Sometimes it just works. I can't see any patterns, I don't know what to do

Funny... while typing the post, in the bg, FO started the game. This took about 10 minutes. I saw this before, but it doesn't work all the time.
ATM I am on my notebook, which is VPCZ12Z9E/X (VPCZ12Z9E/X) : Technische Daten : VAIO & weitere Computerprodukte : Sony this.

Yeah it takes about 5 minutes for it to initially check the version of your game assets

So the 5 mins are "good"?

I also have Win7 64bit and I literally always had to wait 5 or more minutes before I could open or join a game.

Like Tyrus, I to have Win7 64-bit. But I tend to wait around 3 minutes, it's all groovy!

It's also annoying. To sad it has to be done. You will recognize that once it was checked you can easily close the application, start it again and it goes real fast to join mp (no wait time anymore)....it must be saved somewhere in your system for as long as your computer is turned on.

Obviously this is a result of a large flood of odfs. And what is worse is that the odfs keep increasing.

Are we all talking about the same thing? I have no waiting time when I click on Multiplayer via Tunngle. The waiting time starts, when I click "create game". Is this correct?

hmmm usually i get a few seconds of waiting when i push the online tunngle button, as do most people.
but your waiting time when pushing create game sounds different, i have never had more than 5 seconds of wait after doing that.

Odd issue
. Anti-virus, firewall programs - all of that off (or on exceptions list)?

Just wondering... for the people having wait times that are 3+ minutes, do you have older computers with a slower CPU or hard drive maybe? Because I have a pretty new computer (6 months old, core i3) and it takes 45 seconds max.

Gnah no... I have a quad core with actual graphics card and a Agility 2 RAID 0. I think thats pretty fast. Even NB has i7 and quad SSD.
And... the bug doesn't appear everytime. And restarting or something else does not seem to help sometimes. A lot of sometimes

@xtlc: Oh....yep, then I was talking about a different issue. Yours is totally foreign to me.
@Dom: Yep, I do have a rather old one. It takes about 3-5 mins for me to join the mp in the first place.
