planet shields

Okay another bug report from me this time it happens if you cancel the construction of planetary shields.

Also on a side note in stock A2 when borg gained planets the latinum cost is removed from a requirement due to borg not having latinium however in FO this does not happen and although I have a workaround Im wondering if this could be fixed or not.

In light of this, I suggest that the developers use a "removeCost" to the race.odf file.

I'd be interested in knowing what your workaround is.  Extra shield research based on race with the "buildableByOwnerRaceOnly" command?

well the work around was dead simple in the borg.odf just gave them starting latinum of 10000 (since shields cost 100 i figured this would be enough)

yes, got your report. will have a look at that soon

about the borg latinum issue. yes, it is planned to add commands for the races to ignore resources. just was silly in stock armada 2 to have this hardcoded

I wish Activision would release the source code for Armada II aready. Then the devs could fix so many problems, and Flops would become even more awesome then it is now, since they can change everything to exactly what they want, without requiring a workaround.

Activision don't have the source code to the engine... CBS do so we need CBS to release it  :thumbsup:

CBS? Why would they have the code for an Activision game?

Yeah, CBS may have Trek rights but that doesn't give them source code, that belongs to the game developer.

fixed the planet shield upgrade crash
also added commands for race odf to ignore resource types :)
both will be included with the next FO version

Was this fixed for people using the A2 Vanilla Mods?
