Mutara nebula and the probe

I noticed that the mutara nebula has no effect on the probe ( first special of the canaveral ). Maybe cause of the fact that the probe dont have a sensor system which can be disabled. A bug or something which should give the Fed a bonus in scouting ?

I consider it a Fed-specific thing. It would make sense for a Federation probe to be shielded from a Nebula so that it works properly, it fits with their nature as explorers.

Maybe ... would make sense ... but who knows :D

And by the way ... if starfleet engineers are able to shield a small probe from that sensor disabeling effect why not all starfleet ships ?

I doubt it's that easy, everything has it's limits.

Well, think of it like this, its easier to eat half a sandwich than a whole one.

Its easier to shield 3 meter probe, than an 80 meter starship

Maybe the Devs will keep it?

it's a special designed probe that has been under year long development with a casing to resists sensor limiting effects like the one found in the mutara nebula...or whatever :D i see nothing wrong with that

I like it too because it gives a more scientific use for the Canaveral than just BLACKOUT BLACKOUT BLACKOUT FTWWWWWWW!
