Hi, I tested the Instant Action and saw, that on some places, my computer was slowing extremly down. I first did'nt know why, but then I saved and reloadet the game and saw the reason:

Every time a ship explodes, the last frame of the graphic will stay in the field. So, at a location where many ships will get destroyed, this region will be unplayable after a time. In the action screen right down of my monitor, the full screen was filled with white.

I dont know if this bug is known, but I try to upload a screenshot, if wished.

Another bug:
When I activated the anti-aliasing, my screen was pitch black. Only the GUI was avaible.

yah, I think this is known.  On most computers is slows down on large explosion and for mine it freezes slightly when you jump over to the the enemy's base via mini map

The explosion bug is known; there are about 5 threads on this now. It is also in the "to-do" tasks for the Team, so don't worry, it'll be fixed in an upcoming patch.

Dunno about the other bug though.  :sweatdrop:

I am also having this problem now. never had this issue with 3.05a....

EDIT: Actually to be more clear I am having this issue without saving the game....If say I have a group of ships at a choke point and destroy a number of enemy ships then that spot on the map will get slower and slower with more ships that I destroy in that location....Howerver if I move the screens focus to a dif area of the map the game will speed back up to normal speed and the action view window will go back to normal speed as well...but then if I go back to that preveious point where my ships are the game slows back down again ..and then gets slower with the more ships destroyed at that location.....the only workaround I have found for this is to move my ships to a dif point on the map.......but then after more destructions then that location too will slow down and so on....

Quite anoying.....And I have just developed this issue after installing v3.06. I previously had 3.05a installed and that worked beautiful.

I'm getting it with EVERY EXPOLSION, save games or not. But, that explains the slowdowns, at least.

I also had no problem with slow downs (other than when a borg cube exploded, but even that was barely noticeable) in 3.0.5a but in 3.0.6 slow downs which seem to be related to this are becoming a problem, eventually the game runs sooo slow when looking at an area of the map where more combat has taken place.

mine actually has a habit of completely freezing the screen when i try to select a building to construct near asteroid fields or any map area getting a general amount of features.. it seems to be related to the build footprint.. i can place an object blind then escape out and go back and the game screen continues as normal, until the next time i try to build.. after a while, tho the game cant recover and i have to withdraw from the game, completely.

mine does that too where ever a choak point is and where there have been lots of battles the game lags lots... very annoying to the point that its unplayable.

Ah, ok, explosion overlays will be fixed... allright then.

Just took a screenshot because of all those beautiful explosions popping up when loading some savegames. I'll post it just to illustrate it once more. ;)

I didn't experience the memory lag so far, though.
