loading time

hi,
i have a very annoying problem, mainly when playing in multiplayer, when launching a game it loads fine until the end, there the loading bar stop for 2-4 minutes (the music keeps playing in the background) afterwords the game works smoothly mostly..
i have a 3.0 ghz (1 core..) 2 mhs computer.. i should be fine right? anyone has this problem or know how to fix it?

that is actually not a problem on your side, but how the loading process is displayed in armada. at the end of the loading bar all game objects are loaded. armada doesn't know in advance how many these will be or how much time they will take to load. compared to stock armada the loading time in fleet operations has much increased, so it seems that the load bar hangs while actually there is still progress. the loading time depends on how much different races do participate in a game.

the next patch (3.0.6) will have some optimizations regarding the loading time. overall loading time should be decreased and especially borg should load a lot faster

I've got the same prob, and I think it is a known issue.  It is worse with older comps, but I think it has to do with all the odfs the game has to load.
