I'm running an Intel Celeron 2.0GHz with 256 RAM and an Intel Graphics card with 32 MB RAM. I've also got XP Home running with no other applications running in the background and I've found that your mod runs veerryyyy slowly. I've never had this problem with any other game or with Armada II and I've loaded some fairly hefty mods onto Armada II in my day.

And yes I am running the latest Beta and it is a clean install.

hm, what is very slowly? does it run jerkily or does it stop sometimes and does nothing for a few secs and then the game continues?
Have you a high HD activity during gaming fleetops?

Jerkily - Imagine running A2 on a Pentium 2 with 128 RAM and an 8 MB graphics card when you have 200 ships on the screen with multiple weapons firing. That is how jerky it is.

(I included that example because I have actually seen it before)

PS - The computer I'm using is brand new - it just arrived 2 weeks ago. I've never had a problem with any other mod or program. And my CPU activity is pretty well maxed out when running your mod.

I think it is your memory.. 128mb memory is quite low for a system like yours and Fleet Operation likes memory for breakfest ;-)

, not for breakfast
i think it's that combination
Intel Celeron 2.0GHz with 256 RAM and an Intel Graphics card with 32 MB RAM...

This is for Optec:
If you look at my post you will see that I used the P2 128RAM machine as an example.

And now for Doca:
I've got a correction - my graphics card has 64 RAM - and why would that combo be screwing the game up. (Keeping in mind that Fleetops is the only thing I've ever had a problem on, including other programs and recent games)

That's not a problem with your graphic card itself, but the armada storm 3d engine was primary written for common chipsets like nvidia or ati.

OK - But why is this problem only apparent in Fleet Ops?

BTW: The mod isn't unplayable - when I put it on low detail mode it runs without a hitch.

yea, that solution should work for you until beta 2 is out. there will be an greater range of texture resolutions available which may solve your problem
