Sometimes when i move around the map the game jerks for about 1 second, i never notcied this with the original A2...and its not a question of system specs, i have a AMD Athlon 1.45GHZ with 512 RAM and a GeForce4 Ti4200....

maybe you have some background applications running braking out armada ressources
on which map have you experienced the slow down?

it seems "fluidic" let some PCs slow down, exspecialy if there are 7 AI players in the game..

yea, that could be the problem. In the next version i will integrate an option for fleetops to take ressources more aggressively.

i think it was on the map fluidic...but i only had one AI and me playing....and i didn't have much running in the backround...only my keyboard drivers, and Motherboard temp moniter, my Logitech joystick drivers and Windows Commander (its like a better version of Win Explorer)....but i run all my games with those and almost never have any problems.......

but i did have a 4vs4 on fluidic and during a large battle, like 56+ ships with turrets, i almost thought that my comp locked up but 2 secs before i restarted it it started working again......

I found that if you disable the cinematic view, the game drastically speeds up.

Also creating a map with no dust clouds helps too!

I didn't notice the dust cloud problem on my other computer (600 Mhz) but the cinematic view disabling does helps there is still a bit of lag.
