Ok, so stock A2 and FO 3.0 play fine in Vista x86 and x64.  However, I have yet to get anything past that to play.  All I get is the standard crash after starting the game up.  I think I've browsed every topic started with vista problems so far and the only thing I can find is some of you guys mentioned a fixed executable for the 2nd beta of FO.  I can't find a link to it to even try it though.

hmm thats odd because im using vista 32 bit myself and never had problems since v.3 preview. i dont think that vista is the problem. are you sure youve the right graphic driver and stuff. have you tried to play another game?

LOL....yes.  Everything is setup correct.  I've tried this on multiple vista machines and the same error occurs.  When I get home from work I can post it.

No its cool, I understand.  Its the same error on 32 and 64 bit versions.  I've also tried the ultimate and home premium versions.  I've read that other people have had the same problem, but they used a fixed executable to fix it.  I can't find a link to it and even if I did....it was from beta 2.  Or maye my mind is failing me as I read every post I could find with the word vista in it. lol

yea, it would be good to know the exact error message :) a screenshot would do, too. don't use patches for older versions on fleet operations 3.0. don't use anything that was meant for 3.0 pr either. just install 3.0 and it's latest patch (currently 3.0.5a) from the download section
