#include command help

I'm trying a new way of restricting (from firing on fighters) the main weapons for every ship by using the #include command. I used 'all_fed(dom, kli, rom etc)_weapons.odf' and had them include all the weapons for the specific races. In addition the all_race_weapon.odfs had a validtargets1.odf include command as well. But whenever i go to start a game it crashes but there is no error report or anything it just closes down like it's a techtree problem or something. If i put it in the techtree the game closes before it even starts loading, if it's not in the techtree it'll load all the way but right before the screen comes up it will CTD without an error. Any ideas or suggestions?
