While trying to play a game of Instant Action,  When in the loading splash screen right after you hit launch,  when the bar reaches the entire was loaded.  right at that instant, my game crashes, and i get an error report for Stock A2.
i dont know if this will help, but the error signature is

AppName: armada2.tgt          AppVer: 43.0.0.0      ModName: armada2.tgt
ModVer: 43.0.0.0        Offset: 000cd3a1

i don't have to time to copy the error report contents, but the files included in the report is

C:DOCUME~1JOEA~1LOCALS~1Temp6263_appcompat.txt

i hope that this helps, and that this isnt a fatal error for anyting?

Did you make any changes to the game?
I usually only got this one after I screwed something up while modding.
It disappeared again after I fixed the wrong line or whatever caused the crash.

nope, no changes that i know of.  i've never touched the code for anything.  :innocent:

would a full uninstall and reinstall fix it?
posted on August 10th, 2007, 6:17 pm
Well, that's what solves problems in over 90%... But i would not recommend to reinstall your FO until someone says that there's no other way to fix it.
But if you don't mind to reinstall it, this might solve youre problem very quick - or not at all.  :ermm:

sorry for double post, but after a frustratingly difficult uninstalling and reinstalling, and repeating the process over and over due to the game crashing in the very starting up instead
and then after the startup worked, the reinstall failed to fix my Instant Action game crashing.

no, no, no
Ram is really cheap at the moment (ironically, atm). About 100 bucks for 2 gb ddr2 I think!

But anyway, what's ur rig?

forgot about this.
My OS-Windows XP Professional Edition
My CPU- Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2.8 Ghz
My RAM- 512 MB Chip, but 384 MB available for use
My GFX Card- ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000/9100 IGP  with the latest drivers downloaded (there were none)
My FO Version- Fleet Operations 3.0 PR + Fleet Operations 3.0 PR Patch 1

Errrr. *cough*

System Requirements für Armada II: Fleet Operations

Minimum:
Pentium 4 (1.5 GHz) or Athlon 1500+
256 MB RAM
Windows 2000
64 MB Video Card
4x CD-ROM drive
1 GB hard-disk space

Recommended:
Athlon 2000 + or Pentium 4 (2.44 GHz) and higher
1 GB RAM                                                            THIS COULD BE YOUR PROBLEM
Windows 2000/XP/Vista
128 MB Video Card or higher
LAN or broadband internet connection for multiplayer

You most likely need to get some more RAM; possibly something else is taking up that last bit of space you have and hogging it while your loading instant action...
Just half a gig should do it...
On the other hand, if this is a very recent problem and nothing else has changed on your system... take it to the tech guys at a comp store or maybe the Geek Squad.

this is a recent problem (Read:since this morning) , and the last bit of RAM is eated up by my video card. I am planning to buy more RAM, and yeah.

Yeah, some of my friends use the gamegoin thing and it actually works fairly well!

Darn that it's a recent error though... but on the other hand it makes the problem easier to fix.
Good Luck!
ps you can still play online right?
