Game Install on Vista

I've been trying to install the game, but when I go to the "install" button, the "Demoshield" splash comes up, then disappears. I get a loading cursor for a few seconds, then nothing happens. The process "Setup.exe" is in my processes, but nothing has happened for nearly an hour now. I've tried several times, and still the same results when running under various compatability settings, and going into the CD itself and running "setup.exe" directly (even though that brings up the same autorun screen).
Any  advice?

Hmmm, well all Fleet Ops needs to install and run is for the CD to be in your drive while you click the FO .exe to install... I have no idea 

Maybe install with administrative privaleges activated for the .exe?

you seem to try to install stock armada 2 first. that is not necessary for fleet operations. just insert your cd, ignore the autorun splash that comes up. run the fosetup3.exe you downloaded from this site and follow it's instructions.
