game freezes in multiplayer 3.1.4

Hello Team,

A friend and I were playing in multi player mode

Team 1 Federation and Klingons
Team 2 Romulans

Map: Central Point

and the Game froze after about 2 1/2 h, the pcs were still responsive but the game just stopped (CPU load was about 95% to 100%).

We left the game for a couple of minutes but there was no movement at all no movement at all.

It seems to be happening with the Romulans, because it did not happen with other species so far, Team 1 is always Federation Klingon.

Hi there,

i have the same problem. 1 of 10 games freezes from time to time.
In all games (multiplayer or singleplayer) i use an ai-player.

My cpu usage is up to nearly 100%. I can still move the mouse, but the rest of the game hangs. Just killing the process armada2.exe will close the game.

does it happen after u do a particular action, like building a ship? If it happens again try to note down exactly what was going on.

At any game it was a different situation.
Once it was by request the warp-in support. The game freezes one second before i get the control of the vessels. The last freeze was by a battle against rumulan ships. I saw a explosion of a rumulan starship and the game wasn't reponsing.

OK, i played some games in the last two days. And when i play against a Rumulan ai, the game freezed at approximately 1,5 h. Now I am really sure it has something to do with the rumulan ai. The game froze by a battle against rumulan ships. 
All works fine when I played against other ais (federation, klingon, dominion, borg) in singleplayer and multiplayer.

Was there anything particularly different about this game compared to the other ones (as in was this one longer, or did it generally have a much greater number of ships, or was it on a different map)?  And to confirm what I think you said, this has happened against the Romulans multiple times?
