Can someone tell me what this means: "Search directory not found C:\fodev\fohookdll\FileSystem.pas, line 831"
I'm trying my own version of the Classic Mod and it loads up, I click my race and opponent, select the map then click launch and it closes to desktop with the error report. It's an access violation with the error above.

Never mind, I got it going finally.
I've managed to duplicate Blade's work with the Classic Mod in my own mod as a stand alone which is essentially the same except I've updated the graphics with the Midnight Universe mod and that of every ship/station/standard weapon/map object with various works from the community and implemented some small game play changes so it isn't perfectly stock like his, but is only just a tiny bit different here and there.
I've also "hopefully" improved upon the AI a bit, rewrote the build lists to something more competitive and sensible, and am editing the stock maps to have them be near-zero elevation like FO does and to improve upon their lighting effects.
Thank you everyone who helped answer my countless questions. I'm sure I'll have more.

Hi all. I do have one problem I can't seem to overcome. When I hover the cursor over a ship/station/planet a rectangle white spider box appears with a black background inside. I can see my object, but there is the annoying selection box with black background around it. I know Tyler experienced this in the Armada II Import mod thread, but Blade didn't specify how he corrected it.
I'm thinking it's one of the interface filed in the misc folder, but not sure?
Can anyone assist me?

That sounds like your selection SOD is missing. The default one that's used in Fleet Ops is "select.sod" .Just copy it and rename it "select_{faction name}.sod". If you want A2 style selection SODs, you'll have to find Blade's

Awesome, thanks D_N. I wondered if it was that and had changed my select.sod to a different one, but that had no effect. I did see the extra select sods in Blade's mod, but wasn't sure what they were for? Thank you for the info

I sent you a PM, but thought I would post here too. I'm having the same issue, trying to run a mod I put together from FO2.5 days...if you could say what got you around it that would be great. Thanks

Hi SWT, I didn't really do one certain thing that fixed it. After I kept getting crashes and having problems I just went through Blades Classic mod file by file and compared them to my files and added/deleted whatever was different and it finally worked.
I know there were changes in the RTS_CFG file, the input.map and label.map files (though I don't think those two were critical?)
There were edits to both the gui_interface and gui_glob16x12 files in the misc folder I believe. Also, if you still have the FO 2.5 mod in yours I don't think it's compatible with FO proper?
Try those out and see how that works. Sorry I don't recall exactly each step I took.
