I just got FOv3 PR Version today and I haved noticed these two bugs:
1) On the fleetops launcher there is advanced settings. Changing these settings actually change the "version" of the game, thus interfering with internet play. For example: I had the graphics set to the lowest setting and disabled volume lighting; this made my version of fleetops differ from other players that did not change there settings. I was unable to play internet games with other players because of this change in version. I was able to play once I reversed the way I changed my advanced settings.
2) If you look close up at a steamrunner class starship the texturing on the front and sides engines are misaligned. The pixels there look like they were put in place in a graphics designing program and then turned at about 30 degrees off, revealing gaps in hull.

for the steamrunner it may just be that the team haven't got around to redooing it yet, i've noticed that some of the feds ships that you call in, haven't been changed in the way of textures. the steamrunner, nebula, galaxy, defiant, sovie all look like the V2 textures so it could just be for that reason... they are the V2 models.
Edit: i think i found one to do with the admirals log. after i finished the game i checked the stats box and it said:
most effective class : Akira
effectivness rating : 706409.81 (really i wrote it down) looked more like a stardate lol
it will probably be impossible to find out whether that stat is true or not but if it happens again i'll post it.

we will check the version problems with the advanced settings. thats possible although i thought i tested it before.. but hey the past days were... busy
yep, the steamrunner is one of the many old models on the replacement list. we are working as fast as possible but creating models - exspecially federation models - is a time intense process
yep the admirals log is still on war with us. the changes in the odf structure necessary to implement the new gameplay features were a bit to much for the admirals log. we hope to fix it till the final Version 3.0 release. at least toe overall gamepoints and the unit statistics should be correct. the efficency and timeline is.. let's say out of orbit sometimes

actually that "silly" number accures most of the time, especially if you don't loose any of the ships in question.

yep the volume light option is responsible for the version conflict. will be fixed or removed. thanks for the report! ^_^

I was using the mapediter, Editing one of my maps to work with the new verson and i noticed there is no way to add the smaller asteroid fields "map_asteroidfield1.odf".
