ok first i want to apologise if there is already a topic on here for this but i spent half hour looking and couldnt find anything specifically to do with this.

is it possible to run FO using a mounted image or do i need to use my cd?

i prefer to use alcohol 120.

thanks in advance

It should work. It works with daemon tools.

if stock armada 2 finds your cd, then fleet operations should too

I prefer to use Jack Daniels when running fleet ops.

Sorry, couldnt resist.

That said, just use a no-cd patch and save the wear on your CD.

no-cd patches have a few issues since the 4gb patch. Its easiest to use virtual cd

What issues ? I've not seen any (aside from years ago when the fourms here were actively hostile to the use of a no-cd patch in flops) problems for that in years.
