Hello there guys. Firstly, the FO beta 3.0 looks stunning. :D Just reporting a fault that appeared when I played it, AI does nothing in Instant Action. You see being the idiot that I am, I went away and played a 8 player map against the AI. I went about building defences and assembling a fleet only to "invade" an enemy's base to find an idle starbase and a scout flying around. So I attacked it and there was no AI response. No construction ships even built only the initial units who didn't even retaliate my attack. I thought maybe these Romulans were having a bad day so I attacked the nearest enemy Federation base to come to the same result??

Maybe it's something I did. Maybe it's a minor problem, maybe it's a major one? I don't know, and If it has been reported already then I apologise for bringing it up a second time

I know it's a public beta used for testing but I really would love to test the AI in battle.
Thanx

It's unpatched, and the Map was Fluidic Combat and no matter what Map I select, races I utilize, or difficulty level I choose the AI will not construct or engage enemy forces........

There may be one cause (I'm not sure but It may be a root problem) I installed FleetOps into a different folder than Armada 2 folder to preserve mod work I was doing and other mods I was using. Perhaps this could be the cause of my woes?

I don't really want to copy my original Armada2 folder to another location and reinstall FleetOps because its a lot of hassle :sweatdrop: ... any suggestions?

Thanks ;)

you should NOT put the Fleet ops install inside an existing A2 install.
in fact you dont even need to have A2 installed at all, you just need the CD.

uninstall FO, make sure there is no trace of it left.
reinstall FO, at the screen where it says where to install, make sure it says something like: C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada II Fleet Operations
if not copy & paste that line in the little target box.

see if that works.

Wow, um, this is kinda what my topic was about... Except I don't have a pre-existing A2 install.
