Fleetops won't launch (GOG Install)

I point the Fleetops installer to my GOG installation of Armada 2. Everything seems to install fine, but then I get a 0xc00004ac error when I try to launch the game.

Edit: I found a solution. I just put Armada2.exe from my GOG install into the data folder. Seem to be working fine now.

Actually, that can cause issues as well, try this method:

The best way to use the GOG exe is to rename it from "Armada2.exe" to "Armada2.ldl" (note that this changes the filetype, you should get a warning from Windows when you do that, and then click "Ok"). Fleet Ops comes with a 275kb Armada2.exe file that is a loader that enables better memory use, that's why you don't want to overwrite it with the GOG exe, instead overwrite Armada2.ldl.
