FleetOps will not launch

I'm running Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1.  FleetOps V3 installed beautifully, without any problems, but when I click on either the program shortcut or the executable (just to be sure it wasn't a shortcut issue), a dialog box pops up, stating that "Star Trek Armada 2 has stopped working..."  Any ideas on what may be causing this?

when you're running Vista there are two things you have to consider...

1. running the game in "windows xp compatibility mode" (right-click, properties, compatibility)
2. adding armada2 to the execptions of the DEP(right-click computer, properties, advanced settings, advanced tab, performance, and then DEP or(Data Execution Prevention (last tab))) from there create an exeption

the DEP issue is known and a fix is currently under testing

Thanks guys.  That solved the issue.

Patch 3.0.1 should now fix this issue without making the change to the DEP configuration necessary
