Well it's been a problem for over a year now i think, the
Problem being that only about 4 cases of it have been
reported between now and then, yours and mine included.
Doca was trying to help me in my topic, but was unable
to, however when i was using 3.1,3.1.1 and 3.1.2, i
got given a eoutofmemory error, however when 3.1.3
came out, it switched to a eaccessviolation, so its possible
3.1.3 fixed my outofmemory error, and either allowed me
access to a new error, or created a new error. Sorry about
the weird layout of this post, the PS3 doesn't wrap text
on the reply box on the fleetops forum, so i have to press
enter everytime i want to go down a line.

Can't you back it up somewhere? Like on another PC?

I can't reinstall windows anyway, because i don't have a windows CD, and my parents would never allow it just to get a video game working.

Are you, by chance, using a theme for xp?

if u have patches uxtheme.dll, u could try unpatching it, or replacing it with the original.

Maybe the installer got corrupted? It may have installed a corrupt uxtheme.dll file.

Unlikely both of us have corrupted files. I have a desktop background, but nothing like a special theme on.

Tried turning my theme to the default windows XP theme, background an all, and it didn't change the error.

that could be the problem. I would suggest trying a rollback or something.

Well i have Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 SP1 on here. If drkabal has the same problem, it could be caused by that, i'll try uninstalling the newest framework and testing it.

EDIT: Mate it looks like you did it! I uninstalled .NET framework 3.5 SP1 and running on 3.0 now, and i just booted up fleetops succesfully twice in a row.
