thanks for posting that i never knew that, might i ask optec or doca, what is the fail rate? and wouldnt you think that being borg, that technology would be perfect?

Borg tech isn't perfect, just better than everyone elses (before balance is applied). If it was perfect, they wouldn't still be looking for stuff to assimilate.

The beauty of the 'perfection' goal is that it never ends.

Thanks for that optec, and for balances sake, thats probably good,

However i would think that the borg would continually adapt it till the rate of sucess was about 99.9 percent, i know that new technology would be invented by different races, but i still think the borg adaption rate would be higher

I'm confused about how EMscubes are supposed to work.  I've flown circles around them with a cloaked fleet before, never got detected or shot at.

The Scube must be in combat for it to work.  It's designed to prevent cloak retreat, not detect units already cloaked.  Races are slowly getting more cloak detection options in future patches, but it just takes time to code all that they have planned.  So the Borg are indeed weak on cloak detection, but it won't stay that way.

Butters and I tested this. I cloaked, engaged 3 em scubes, recloaked, decloaked, ect... about 4 times. I think the fail rate is more than 10 percent
